Randall Alifano
Randall Alifano believes in the spiritual view of inclusion. He also ardently feels that every human being brings truth to the world and the people around them. According to Alifano, religious convictions are as diverse as the people who hold them. The world does not deliver one truth – it delivers all of them.
The challenge faced by humankind, says Alifano, is to redefine its perceptions, in order to hold as much of that truth as possible. Randall Alifano believes that this means to cultivate as much empathy and presence as possible. He says that part of that means that we – as a people – needs to embrace good listening skills as well. Dr. Alifano has worked to identify as many emotional and behavioral states that are an obstacle to hearing one’s own truth.
Negative and ostensibly protective emotional states can lead to narrow and repetitive thoughts, which can hinder people from noticing solutions to life’s challenges. Randall Alifano has devoted his life to helping members of his community face the unexamined things that can stifle them.
