God’s Luv International Ministries Church’s founder Dr. Pierre Bennett was first inspired by the word of God as a young boy. Community Blog Online: You’ve said that many people don’t realize how much comfort speaking to God can bring them.
Dr. Pierre Bennett: Yes. In good times and bad, it’s important to open up your heart to God. Speaking to Him not only strengthens your belief, but it gives the believer a feeling of security. At God’s Luv International Ministries Church, we practice praying for clarity and understanding in order to move to the next level in our relationship with God.
Community Blog Online: I’ve heard you refer to many cases in the Bible where God helped people through times of strife in your sermons at God’s Luv International Ministries Church.
Dr. Pierre Bennett: At a recent sermon at God’s Luv International Ministries Church, I brought up the story of David, who was angry with God over Hosea. He actually feared God.
Community Blog Online: We always hear about fearing God. What does that mean, exactly?
Dr. Pierre Bennett: In the case of David, even as angry as he was, he knew better than to be disrespectful. Why? Fear. As I tell my congregation at God’s Luv International Ministries Church, we should always approach God with humility because He is, after all, our great Creator. Our Father. As the bible clearly states, “the beginning of wisdom is to fear God.”
Community Blog Online: You used an analogy about boxing during your sermon on this at God’s Luv International Ministries Church.
Dr. Pierre Bennett: It was a story many of the male members of my God’s Luv International Ministries Church congregation could relate to. When I was a young boy, I boxed for fun, as many young men are prone to do.
Community Blog Online: Just for fun, yes.
Dr. Pierre Bennett: Nothing serious. I was far from a pro boxer. But, as I told God’s Luv International Ministries Church, let’s say I crossed paths with one of the great boxers, like Mike Tyson. I wouldn’t be disrespectful to him, even if I’d trained as a boxer, seriously.
Community Blog Online: Mike Tyson would intimidate the best of us.
Dr. Pierre Bennett: I’d be intimidated. It’s a form of fear, but it’s more of a reverence and awe. We’d be in awe of someone who had been such a huge part of boxing history. I use that example at God’s Luv International Ministries Church to illustrate the awe we feel in God’s presence.

Dr. Pierre Bennett: He is the great Creator, the Almighty. As founder of God’s Luv International Ministries Church, I consistently stress this point.

Dr. Pierre Bennett: We at God’s Luv International Ministries Church believe that in holding Him up, we keep ourselves in a place of humility. That humility helps me and the congregation at God’s Luv International Ministries Church get to that next level in our relationship with Him.
