Mendel Mintz is an Aspen Colorado religious leader, the head Rabbi of the Chabad Jewish Community Center. Through the Chabad JCC, Rabbi Mendel Mintz offers programs to enhance the lives of the surrounding Jewish community including educational and recreational facilities and traditional Shabbat services. Rabbi Mendel Mintz came to Aspen in July of 2000 – four years after being ordained in Brooklyn, New York by the Chabad Yeshiva. His educational background reveals that Mendel Mintz completed his initial studies at the flagship Chabad academic center, Oholei Torah, and also studied abroad in Israel. In an effort to expand the Chabad Jewish Community Center’s reach, Rabbi Mendel Mintz recently approved a project to rebuild the JCC.
