Chris Lee: Thank you.
The Balancing Act Lifetime: It’s good to see you, again. So, who is the handsome young man, here? (Motions to a dog on the ground.)
Chris Lee: This is Rebel. He’s a beautiful golden retriever.
The Balancing Act Lifetime: He’s gorgeous.
Chris Lee: Thank you, very much. He is absolutely beautiful, and he sheds. He sheds a lot.
The Balancing Act Lifetime: I must tell you, I know this breed of dog frequently sheds. Is shaving him down the right thing to do? Does it reduce it?
Chris Lee: Actually, it doesn’t. Shorthair breeds shed just as much as longhair. So, all you’re doing is cutting a beautiful coat off of a dog.
The Balancing Act Lifetime: So, let me ask you something. To reduce that shedding and reduce the dander, what about bathing more often? Is that better?
Chris Lee: Bathing more often is good, when using the proper products; but using a good shedding tool, like the FURminator®deShedding Tool, is your best route to go.

Chris Lee: It has an edge on it that’s made for longhaired or shorthaired breeds. It skims through the top of the coat, going down into the bottom; and you can see the hair just start coming out of this dog.

The Balancing Act Lifetime: Now, I must say. When I see this, I become a little concerned, because my daughter suffers from allergies. How can I avoid this from being, you know, everywhere in the house?
